Faster response time:

When a system fault occurs, the operating mechanism must actuate the circuit breaker to open within a very short time (typically within tens of milliseconds) after the relay protection device issues a signal. This rapid operation quickly interrupts the fault current, minimizing damage to power equipment and shortening grid outage duration.

The operating mechanism is designed to operate accurately even under extreme conditions, such as the significant electrical and mechanical stresses experienced during a short-circuit fault.

Instructions of operating mechanism

 

 

Energy Storage Operation:

After the mechanism is mounted on the cabinet, insert the dedicated handle into the operating shaft located on the lower right side of the mechanism. Turn the handle clockwise until it clicks (the energy storage indicator shaft will push the energy storage microswitch to the fully closed position), and energy storage is in place. For electric operation, the mechanism automatically charges energy upon power-up. Once energy storage is in place, the motor circuit is disconnected, and the energy storage is maintained, waiting for energy release to close the circuit breaker (during electric operation, ensure that the secondary circuit is correct).

 

Closing Operation:

Press the green button to momentarily release the closing energy, and the mechanism pushes the circuit breaker to close the main circuit. For electric operation, energize the closing solenoid coil, which momentarily releases the stored energy. The mechanism pushes the circuit breaker to close the main circuit and simultaneously charges the opening spring (energy storage can continue at this point, but the anti-error interlock prevents further closing).

 

Opening Operation:

Press the red button to momentarily release the opening energy, and the mechanism pushes the circuit breaker to open the main circuit. During electric operation, the tripping electromagnet coil is energized, the tripping electromagnet acts instantaneously to release the stored energy, and the mechanism pushes the circuit breaker switch to complete the main circuit trip.

Electromagnetic operating mechanism:
The electromagnetic operating mechanism completely relies on the electromagnetic attraction generated by the closing current flowing through the closing coil to close and simultaneously compress the trip spring. When tripping, it mainly relies on the trip spring.
Spring operating mechanism:
This type of mechanism is currently the most commonly used mechanism. Its closing and opening relies on springs to provide energy, and the tripping and closing coil only provides energy to pull out the spring.
Permanent magnet operating mechanism:
