Description
Technical Parameters

The GN30-12 series indoor rotary high-voltage disconnecting switch is a new type of rotary contact knife-type disconnecting switch. Its main structure consists of two sets of insulators and contacts fixed on the upper and lower planes of a three-phase common low-voltage frame. The switch is opened and closed by rotating the contact knife. The GN30-12D type switch is based on the GN30-12 type switch with the addition of a connecting knife, which can meet the needs of different power systems. This product has a compact design, small footprint, strong insulation capacity, and is easy to install and adjust. Its performance meets the requirements of GB1985-89 "AC High-Voltage Disconnecting Switches and Grounding Switches" and is suitable for indoor systems with a rated voltage of 10 kV AC 50Hz or below, used for opening and closing circuits under voltage and no-load conditions. It can be used in conjunction with high-voltage switchgear or independently.

Installation Precautions

1. Installation site requirements: Indoor, ambient temperature -10℃ to +40℃, relative humidity ≤85% (at 25℃), free from corrosive gases/dust.

2. Confirm the installation cabinet is a 12kV indoor switchgear (e.g., XGN2, KYN28). The cabinet strength must be able to support the weight of the disconnecting switch (approximately 20~30kg).

3. Verify the model (e.g., GN30-12/630), rated current, and grounding switch configuration. Check for cracks in the insulators and deformation of the contacts.

4. Test the operating mechanism: Manually rotate the contacts to confirm smooth and unobstructed opening and closing angles (usually 90°).

5. Mechanical fixing: Use M8 bolts to tighten the base frame. Control the installation torque to 12~15N・m (avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the insulators).

6. When installing through a wall, the sealing gap between the flange and the cabinet must be filled with insulating sealant to prevent dust from entering.

7. Electrical connection: incoming line/ 8. Use copper busbars with the corresponding cross-section for the outgoing terminals (30×4mm for 400A, 40×4mm for 630A). Tighten the terminals with a torque of 18~20 N·m.

9. The grounding switch wiring must be led to the cabinet's grounding busbar separately; it is prohibited to share a grounding circuit with other equipment.

10. Interlocking test: Interlock with the switchgear circuit breaker: When the circuit breaker is closed, the disconnecting switch cannot be opened or closed; when the disconnecting switch is open, the circuit breaker cannot be closed.

11. Grounding switch interlock: When the disconnecting switch is closed, the grounding switch cannot be closed; when the grounding switch is closed, the disconnecting switch cannot be closed.

FAQ:

Q: How to maintain this disconnect switch on a daily basis?

A: Check the surface of the insulator for dust accumulation, cracks, and discharge burn marks. If there is oil or dust, wipe it with a dry cloth (do not use water).

Q: What are the common faults?

A: The circuit breaker is stuck during opening and closing; abnormal discharge noise occurs during operation; the wiring terminals are overheated (temperature > 80℃); the interlocking function fails; the insulation resistance is too low (< 1000MΩ).

Q: What are some things to keep in mind when storing supplies?

A: The storage environment should be dry and well-ventilated (relative humidity ≤60%). Insulators should be individually packaged to prevent damage from impact, and metal parts should be protected from moisture and rust. Regularly check the condition of spare parts (recommended every 12 months) to ensure that the insulation parts are free from moisture and the metal parts are free from rust.

Q: How many is your MOQ ?

A: One piece. We'd like to ship one piece to your for testing first. Then purchase in bulk if there is no problem.
